FALL 2010 CLASSES

All young people who are interested in pursuing theatre arts as a hobby or a career need the basic training & skills development that are essential to landing the part.  No experience is necessary for any of our classes.

POWER VOICE

Empower your vocal performance by learning the nuts & bolts of how to care for & use your most precious instrument – your voice!  Small group classes allow for individualized attention & students will learn proper breath control, reaching their maximum range with freedom from straining, & develop expressiveness & confidence.

ACT UP & IMPROVe

Beginning tointermediate level actors will learn to behave logically & naturally on stage.  This class is perfect for the actors & actresses who are interested in improving their on-stage performances & delivering a great audition.  We will focus on improvisational work, scene study & monologues.

THEATRE DANCE

Learn basic to intermediate dance techniques, combinations & mini-routines for musical theatre. Music from a variety of your favorite Broadway musicals are the backdrop as you learn how to ace a dance audition through a heightened sense of confidence, presentation & style.

MUSICAL THEATRE CLASSES

NEW! Become a triple threat by taking a class that combines singing, dancing and acting Students will prepare a final production that will be presented in a Talent Agent Showcase. Classes include seminars and workshops on auditions, careers, agents, selecting colleges and much more.

ORLANDO KIDS on STAGE
PERFORMANCE TROUPE

PERFORM in OYT’s outstanding performance troupe. OKids have performed at the White House, Disney World Resorts, Universal Studios.  Last spring, members were selected to perform at Carnegie Hall in the National Children’s Choir Festival. Orlando Kids on Stage is for singers, dancers, actors ages 9—16. The troupe is under the direction of Tim Hanes. The troupe will be performing at the Junior Theatre Festival in Atlanta on Jan 14 –16, 2011.

Orlando Kids on Stage rehearse on Saturdays—12:15—1:45. Tuition is $75 per month and members are selected through auditions on August 7 and 21.
